Welcome to Timetrekk. By accessing or using this website, you agree to the following terms. They're written to be clear and readable — no walls of legalese — but they do apply. If you don't agree with any part, please don't use the site.
All content on Timetrekk — including timelines, event descriptions, historical narratives, and editorial commentary — is provided for educational and informational purposes. You're welcome to read, share, and learn from it.
You may not reproduce, republish, or redistribute substantial portions of Timetrekk's content for commercial purposes without written permission. Quoting or referencing individual facts with proper attribution is fine — we encourage it.
History is complicated. While we put genuine care into researching and presenting events, dates, and figures, Timetrekk does not guarantee that every piece of information is perfectly accurate, complete, or up to date.
This site should not be used as a sole academic or professional reference. If you're writing a paper or making decisions based on historical facts, we recommend verifying details through primary sources, peer-reviewed materials, or established reference works.
The design, code, original writing, and visual identity of Timetrekk are the intellectual property of the Timetrekk project. The Trek Line logo, site layout, and editorial voice are ours.
Historical facts themselves aren't owned by anyone — they belong to all of us. Where we've used images, portraits, or referenced specific works, we've aimed to use public-domain or openly licensed materials. If you believe any content on this site infringes your rights, please contact us and we'll address it promptly.
If you send us a message through our contact form (or any other channel), you grant us the right to read, respond to, and act on that message. We won't publish your personal messages without consent.
If you submit a suggestion, correction, or content idea, we may use it to improve the site. We're grateful for contributions from the community, and we'll credit contributors where appropriate — but submitting an idea doesn't create an obligation for us to use it or compensate you for it.
Timetrekk may link to external websites for further reading or source attribution. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. Following an external link is at your own discretion.
Timetrekk is a growing project. We may add new countries, features, and content — and occasionally we may remove or revise things. We don't guarantee uninterrupted access to the site, and we reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of it at any time.
These terms themselves may be updated from time to time. When we make changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Timetrekk after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

Documenting events around the world, one timeline at a time.
Timetrekk is an interactive history explorer that lets you travel through time across countries and continents. Pick a country on the map, and you'll get a full visual timeline of its key events — from ancient origins to the modern day. Every event comes with context: who was involved, why it mattered, and how it connects to the bigger picture.
It's not a textbook. It's not an encyclopedia. It's something in between — a way to explore history that feels more like browsing a story than reading a reference page. We keep things accessible and a bit informal, because history shouldn't feel like homework.
The vision for Timetrekk is to become a living world history map — a place where people can move across countries, people, and events and understand how everything connects over time.
The path we're taking is steady and intentional. We are building the platform country by country, person by person, and event by event, making sure each part is researched, readable, and worth exploring. The aim is not just to collect history, but to shape it into something visual, connected, and genuinely enjoyable to use.
Maybe you're a student trying to make sense of a historical period. Maybe you're a curious person who just wants to know what happened in Japan in the 1600s. Maybe you're a teacher looking for a clean, visual way to show how events connect. Or maybe you just like exploring.
Whatever your reason, Timetrekk is built for you. It's free, it's open, and it's designed to make history feel like an adventure rather than a chore.
I started Timetrekk because I've always been fascinated by how the world got to where it is. Every country has a story — triumphs, disasters, turning points, and ordinary moments that ended up changing everything. I wanted to build something that captures all of that in a way that's actually fun to use.
This is still early days. There's a lot more to come — more countries, more depth, more ways to explore. If you have ideas, questions, or just want to say hello, drop me a message below. I'd love to hear from you.
